Dr. Vega is a licensed professional counselor, chemical dependency counselor, and educator with over twenty-four years of experience. He is bilingual and certified in various areas, including grief-informed counseling, dialectical behavior therapy, disaster mental health counseling, and personality disorder treatment. Additionally, he is proficient in several therapeutic approaches, such as rational emotive behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, applied positive psychology, mindfulness, well-being, and solution-focused brief therapy. Dr. Vega, originally from Puerto Rico, has resided in Houston, TX since 2007.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Education, a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Research Psychology, Dr. Vega is a National Certified Counselor, a National Certified School Counselor, a Global Career Development Facilitator, a Board-Certified Telemental Health Provider, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with a private online practice in Texas and Puerto Rico.
